Santa Croce Camerina:

The town of Santa Croce Camerina, settled from Camarina (a Syracusan colony founded in 598 a. C.) and Caucana, lies in south-eastern Sicily. An extraordinary succession of landscapes, green fields, and sandy beaches washed by a crystal clear sea characterizes the whole  territory which is enriched by a huge historical, archaeological and architectural heritage.
In the very heart of  the town you can find the Town Hall, standing next the little Church of Madonna del Carmelo, Piazza Vittorio Emanuele and the Cathedral, all surrounded by elegant buildings.

Outside the town, you can visit interesting sites like the Necropolis of the Mirio and the ancient Mezzagnone’s building. Along the coast stands the Kaukana park; further west, in the small village of Punta Secca, you can admire the Lighthouse, along with an ancient little church, the Scalambri Tower and the so-called “Casa di Montalbano”, location of a  very  famous Italian TV series.

Santa Croce enjoys a favorable position within the province, a few kilometers from the main city and the airport of Comiso, as well as the harbors of Pozzallo, Marina di Ragusa and Scoglitti.

A very charming and hospitable town, always ready to welcome all those who want to discover religious and folkloristic traditions, enjoy typical flavors and smells, while immersed in truly rare atmospheres.
